Vmware Fusion Windows Upgrade?

I have windows 98 Install CD and i have a windows XP Upgrade CD So if i install Windows 98 on my Mac with VMWare Fusion then put the XP Upgrade Disk in Will it let me upgrade to windows XP?

    Yes it should. A VM is no diff. than a piece of hardware. You should be able to do anything that you would be able to do to a physical machine.
