How Can I Run Xp As A Virtual Machine Under Windows 7?

I can’t run the Virtual PC beta as my processor does not support hardware virtualization, and I can’t run Virtual PC 2007 under Windows 7 because it’s blocked because of “compatibility issues”. Is there any way around this? I don’t want to go down the VMware route, because the server costs a fortune, and I can’t find any windows XP virtual appliances to run on the VMware player. Thank you!
