I bought VMware Workstation 6.0 ACE a while ago, and I am in need of a dedicated server for a multiplayer game: Call of Duty 4. I have Windows 7 RC installed in Workstation.
I have 3 computers at my disposal for setting up a lab to learn Server 2008, Active Directory, and Microsoft SCCM.
The specs on the laptops are as follows:
Laptop number 1
-Core 2 Duo 2.00 Ghz
-2.5 GB RAM
-80 GB SATA hard drive
Laptop number 2
-Core 2 Duo 1.33 Ghz
-1.5 GB RAM
-80 GB SATA hard drive

i downloaded ubuntu 8.10 and was gonna install it on vmware so i start setup and the ubuntu logo comes up and so do the options
-try ubuntu without any changes to your computer
-install ubuntu and so on
i highlight install ubuntu and hit enter and then it freezes?

Hi I am using VMware WorkStation 6.0.2 and I am running Windows XP(which is the “Real” operating system) and my specs are:
Ram:1GB
Video Card:Nvidia Geforce 6150 LE (256MB)
Processor:AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3800+ 2.4GHz
Hard Drive Space:since vmware uses virtual space on your hard drive it is 8GB and allocated.
